**Supportive shoes with a good tread (paths can be slippery) and a bottle of water are important**

TUESDAY, 21st FEBRUARY Brown Hill Creek Recreation Park.

Meet in High Street, Mitcham outside the Edinburgh HotelUBD 142 Q 2. 

We will walk through the Mitcham Reserve in to Brown Hill Creek Recreation Park near narrow creeks flowing through the heart of a steep sided valley containing some old red gums of 300 years.  Time permitting we will visit the Manure Pits and walk up Tilleys Hill Road.

TUESDAY, 21st MARCH.  A river and gardens walk. 

Meet at War Memorial Drive car park adjacent to the Red Ochre restaurant  - turn at sign to par 3 golf course. UBD 1 G 16.   

We will crisscross the river seeking shade and might get as far as the wetlands in the Botanic Gardens.  Leader: Margaret.


TUESDAY, 18th APRIL. Shepherd’s Hill Recreation Park.  

Meet in the car park off Ayliffe’s Road., St. Mary’s.  UBD 153 P 1. 

 We will follow Viaduct Creek and venture into the Watiparinga Reserve before climbing the Ridge Track to see panoramic views of Adelaide and the coast.  One section of this walk is quite steep.  Sturdy walking shoes, water and hat are essential.

TUESDAY, 16th MAY.  Belair National Park.

Meet in Sheoak Road near the Belair Lodge just past the Belair Railway Station at Gate 2.  UBD 143 E 10. 

We will walk on the Lodge Track, Workanda Creek Track, past the Playford Lake and return on the perimeter of the western side of the park.

TUESDAY, 20th JUNE.  Woorabinda Reserve, Stirling. 

Park near the entrance to Woorabinda Lake in Woorabinda Drive, Stirling.UBD 157 D 2. 

Easy walking but might be a little boggy if we have had a lot of rain.

TUESDAY, 18th JULY.  Morialta Conservation Park, Woodforde. 

Meet at the car park alongside Stradbroke Road, Woodforde.  UBD 108 J 13 . 

Some rough tracks,  some climbing and beautiful scenery.

TUESDAY, 15th AUGUST.  Cleland Conservation Park, Greenhill. 

Park on Greenhill Road near beginning of Yanagin Road opposite electricity tower.  UBD 132 P 7. 

One short rise otherwise easy going.

TUESDAY, 19th SEPTEMBER.  Hallett Cove Conservation Park Walk. 

Meet in carpark next to the Cafe, by the entrance to the Park at Heron Way, Hallett Cove.  UBD 175 Q 1. 

This walking trail meanders through an incredible geological site dating back 600 million years.  The first section follows the coastline but then loops back past some of the Park’s well-known landmarks including  the Amphitheatre and the Sugarloaf.  Hat and water essential.

TUESDAY, 17th OCTOBER.  Lynton and Sleeps Hill Reserve trails. 

Meet in Belair Road at the Windy Point Lookout car park. UBD 14 K 12 

We will walk on the Lynton Bike/Hike Path and follow this trail past an old quarry where we will see sea and city views.  Time permitting we will walk the Seaview Walk.  This walk is reasonably steep on the return trip.   Leader:  Christine.


TUESDAY, 21st NOVEMBER.  South Park Lands walk. 

Meet on the corner of East Tce. and Carrington St., Adelaide where there is 3 hr. Parking in East Tce.  UBD 4 N 12. 

We will walk through a section of the South Park Lands to the Veale Gardens and visit the Hemeji Japanese Garden on the return loop.  As this is our last walk for the year, we suggest stopping at one of the cafes in Hutt St., for lunch or coffee before returning to East Terrace. via Halifax St.  There should be plenty of shade but a hat, sunscreen and water are essential.
